DDPI is responsible for the overall implementing and supervision of Primary and Secondary Education in the Dist. at the Taluka level Block Educational Officer is responsible  for supervision and administration of primary schools and High schools.

Schemes Executed by the Department

1. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyana:
To Enroll all the children to schools between the age group 6-14 years.

2. Mid-day meals:
To give mid-day meals all Govt. and aided school students 1 to 10th Std.

3. Vidya Vikas Yojane:
To supply uniforms to the students studying in 1 to 7th Std. boys and girls and 8th to 10th Girls students

 

4. Free Text-books supply:
To supply Free Text-books to 1 to 10th Govt. schools students and 1 to 8th. students. aided school students

5. Construction of school buildings:
1. 2009-10 under S.S.A. Scheme 4 new Primary school buildings have been  sanctioned
2. 2009-10 under S.S.A. scheme 165 new additional class rooms have been sanctioned.
