Karwar : Founded in 1863 by the
British, Karwar is the district headquarters of
Uttara Kannada district. Named after the village of
Kadwad. Karwar has one of the finest facilities for
all weather port with a row of islands like Anjadiv,
Koormagada, Devgada, etc. protecting it from storm.

Sadashiva Gada : About 5Kms from
Karwar, Sadashivgad is on the Northern bank of the
river Kali. The hill fort here was built in 1698
A.D, on a granite hill on the bank of the river
Kali, by Sonda Sadashiva Nayaka (1675-1718 A.D) and
that brought the name Sadashivgad to the southern
part of Chitakula. The newely-build bridge across
the river Kali, which connects the place with
Karwar, passess from beside the hill on which the
port is located.

Kadra Dam : Right at the foot of Western Ghats, Kadra is little of gem nature’s beauty. It became famous due to the dam across Kali river and its powerhouse. A beautiful park with fountains, cascades, caves, colourful trees and plants, rose garden, and a unique vedic garden depicting sun signs, planets, rain stars is coming up. Water sports is also being planned in the reservoir.
Mahamayi temple near Kadra is an ancient and very popular temple, which is visited by people from afar. The temple is situated in side the forest and has blissful atmosphere.

|Tilmati Beach : Tilmati is still a beautiful place to visit and have a nice picnic or night stay in tent over the rocks or nearby hill. The sand colour is black and very fine size. The sea dumps the fine black sand brought by river kali to this place and hence, the colour of beach sand is black. Very unique indeed. You can do fishing in this part by sitting over the rocks.|
Devbagh Beach : Devbag is an
island located in north of Karnataka. Just 2 hours
drive from Madgoan, Goa. It is accessible from
Karwar which lies on a thin strip of tropical sand
that is bound by the Western Ghats on it's eastern
side and embraced by the Arabian Sea on the west. It
is famous for its diving and snorkeling facilities.
