Describe briefly about the Office / Department : Department is implementing various Animal Husbandry related activities like livestock development, fodder development, extension services & training, poultry development, Rabbit development and implementation of various socio-economic programs. Also we ate protections health of our animal wealth. In addition department is conducting sample survey regularly to access the production of milk, meat, egg, wool and other products of animal origin. Aim of the department is to increase the production of animal products like milk, meat, egg & wool.
Activities of the Office / Department : The department is rendering services to the farmers through primary veterinary centers and veterinary dispensaries village level, veterinary hospitals at hobli level and taluk veterniary hospitals at taluk level
Service available for public : Diagnosis of diseases and treatment of animals. Artifical insemination services. Mobile veterinary services in fixed routes on fixed days of the week. Vaccination programs for livestocks against various contagious diseases.
